Being brought up in rural area, got educated in sub-urban area and now living in metropolitan city, Delhi, he has been able to gather a lot of experiences on diverse fields especially on political, cultural, socio-economic and environmental issues. His graduation in physical planning from School of Planning and Architecture (SPA, Delhi) added new dimensions to his thinking and writing. He is currently pursuing post graduation from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing in year 2003 when I was going to appear for the Central Board of Secondary Education. The basic instinct for writing sprouted in me when my younger brother, Harish Kumar, showed me a poem written by his class fellow from Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Saran, Bihar.
I started writing Hindi poetry and on getting positive feedback from teachers and friends, I started writing in English and Bhojpuri too.
What's the story behind your latest book?
There are many published books and there need to be some specification of the book before narration of the story behind the book. I would like to tell you about the 'Glance at World through Lens of Poetry'. The genesis of the book can be traced from the political and social changes that is happening in India. The increasing incidents of rape has inspired to write some strong poetic expression. The rise of Naxalism/Maoism in India is also a theme of the poem. During study at School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi, I often heard and learnt a lot about the design and it became of the topic of poetry. The preparation of thesis is another theme. The various tastes of life has been expressed through many such poems which readers will surely enjoy.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The strong recommendation of teachers and friends motivated me to get published and let other readers also have a taste of my poetry and prose writing. For last one year, I have been publishing some of my sample poems and articles on www.sureshotpost.com and other online sharing sites. The review and the recommendations of the readers strengthened my conviction of making my work public so that more readers can enjoy and learn from the spices of experiences and thoughts shared through the poems and articles.

After having got published after a year long struggle in the field of publication, I have devoted some of the articles to young poets and writers who wish to get published.
Writing gives me immense pleasure as I am able to put forward the best of the ideas that might be an attempt to make a dent in the rigid wall of traditional thinking and thoughts. The reviews/comments of the readers is another source of great joy for me.
What do your fans mean to you?
My fans are my great assets. They are the source for my level best attempt to write better day after day to meet their expectations and to meed the demand of the publishing industry. Many of the fans are turning into good friends and often then join me on multiple social networking channels. In young age teachers teaches us to do well but in our later stages, it is the fans and readers who inspire us to do the best of your capacity.

After having got so many English poetry collection published. I am now working on my next Hindi poetry collection which will be available for the readers by a fortnight. The theme of the poetry is related to our experience of life, its various shades, flavors and tastes. The book is in print but the soft copy got lost in computer due to hard disk crash.
I am compiling the old poems and some new ones to give it a blend of taste which the readers will enjoy.
