Interview with Sigur Sveinungi

When did you first start writing?
A few years ago.
Describe your desk
My computer, the two books Mýrin and The hunger games, picture of my boyfriend and of course a cup of coffee.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
It was a book by and big writer in Iceland, the book was called Mýrin (The swamp), It's about a murder that happened in Reykjavík and I remember I read the book over and over again.
How do you approach cover design?
I design my own covers and I always look deep into my mind to put 100% effort in it.
What do you read for pleasure?
Thriller! I love thriller.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up on a farm, I had really few friends and was mostly alone so I was used to create exciting scenarios and I can finally put it on paper.
What do your fans mean to you?
So much! I can't even begin to say how much!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To see what beautiful things life will bring me.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Working as a waiter.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
To express my self and give people something to escape the real world and go into a magical world of reading.
