Interview with Skye Finn

What are you working on next?
My first book. Well it's not my first book but it will be my first published book. I won't give too much away yet but it will include romance, mystery, sci-fi, fantasy and mythical creatures.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I don't want to give too much away but a dream world where certain mythical creatures exist but is it really just a dream?
Who are your favorite authors?
Some of my favourite authors would have to be Libba Bray, Suzanne Collins, Becca Fitzpatrick, just any fantasy, romance, teen novelists really.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
The Hunger Games series (Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay) by Suzanne Collins
Twilight series (Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn) by Stephanie Meyer
Fenestra series (Meridian, Wildcat Fireflies, Speed of Light and Counting Tens) by Amber Kizer
Wolves of Mercy Falls series (Shiver, Linger and Forever) by Maggie Stiefvater
Wicked Lovely series (Wicked Lovely, Ink Exchange, Fragile Eternity, Radiant Shadows and Darkest Mercy) by Melissa Marr

I love fantasy romance books I could add so much more to this list but these are the ones I most enjoyed.
What do you read for pleasure?
Anything with romance and fantasy although I also read a lot of Japanese manga usually shoujo (teenage girl manga) with romance in it and sometimes fantasy but I tend to lean more towards real life circumstances when I read manga.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I ever wrote was when I was 6. I wrote a short story called Jane the thief and the diamond. It was a mystery, thriller, comedy and it was only about one page long. After that I wrote a whole short story series about Jane the thief.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I'm not writing I spend my time reading, drawing, going on dates and doing Tafe work
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My boyfriend. Before I met him I didn't really want to get out of bed in the morning I was just like what's the point? but since I met him I've been really happy and I want to get up and do things and achieve my goals.
Describe your desk
Cluttered...I have my laptop and a desk caddy filled with pens, paper, notebooks, Tafe stuff, folders and just everything.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My Kobo Glo!!:D
