Interview with S.G. Bowers

Published 2015-04-19.
What do you read for pleasure?
I enjoy paranormal romance, books that scare me, and anything that makes me laugh.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I love my Kindle. I wish they had those when I was in High School.
Describe your desk
Well I have kids, so my desk is a hot mess. Monster High dolls or Marine Corp information is everywhere!
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Huh, well I was born and raised in New York until I was 17, but I feel I grew up in Florida. I think that living one way your entire life and than growing into your own person helps you to develop what you want to write and who you want to be.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing around 16. I wrote poetry because it helped to convey my emotions.
What's the story behind your latest book?
It's a continuation of my first book Life is Combustible.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My best friend. She can talk me into anything actually.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Living in the moment with my characters, I love the reactions they get when I make a twist. I'm ususally just as surprised as they are.
What do your fans mean to you?
They are my world.
Who are your favorite authors?
Donna Grant, Karina Halle, Julie Moffett, Cheryl Dragon, Dale Mayer and Shannon Meyer are my biggest influences.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My alarm clock. It's evil and won;'t leave me alone.
