Interview with T.L. Campbell

Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Dallas, Texas.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing in second grade.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I have a love for aquaculture, specifically aquaponics. I wanted to write an intensive how to relating to aquaponics so that others could do it.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I am very anti publishing company. For too many years they have been holding back great authors and never giving anyone like me shot. This way takes some of the hot air out of them.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
By allowing me to publish independently of hot air filled publishing companies.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The opportunity to share something with others that they may learn from my success and failures.
What do your fans mean to you?
Everything without fans I wouldn't have a reason to write.
What are you working on next?
I will be working on my newest book entitled Unveiled. It speaks of my thoughts on religion as it relates to God and our purpose on Earth.

George Lucas and Alan Dean Foster
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
My family
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
In my aquaponics greenhouse.

By searching on my Kindle
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes a horrible little story about a ghoul in a closet.
What is your writing process?
I usually draw out an outline and follow it.

How do you approach cover design?
I design my own cover art.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
Star Wars, and zombie books. It's great escapism.
What do you read for pleasure?
Zombie novels. I have read them all.

Kindle Fire
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I'm still trying to get that part down.
