How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords allows me to sell my books through their expand sales channels, i.e. Apple, Kobo, Amazon, Sony, etc. It's great because I don't have to go to 20 different sites to check out my sales. With Smashwords all of my sells and records are all at my finger tips without the hassle of site jumping.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Getting lost in my own head. As I write my books I can see the stories playing out in my head like a movie. When I'm writing, everything around my because background noise and I love that.
What are you working on next?
Juvenile Rising. It's a Sequeal to Juvenile and the Blood Thirst Series.
Who are your favorite authors?
Stephen King, Dean Koontz, John Grisham
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The thought of writing gets me out of bed in the morning. I get up, grab a cup of coffee, read a little morning news, and then get started on whatever book project I'm working on at the time...unless it's Sunday. If it's Sunday, I stay in bed and his at anyone who dares to bother me. Unless they're bringing me a cup of coffee. Then I let them in, take the coffee, and then hiss at them
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I spend my down time reading. I love to read, I just don't get much time to do it.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Goodreads mostly, but I have run across a few that I discovered by word of mouth.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yep, it was The Undead Heart (#1 in the Blood Thirst Series). The Series is complete now, but The Undead Heart was the first book I ever wrote.
What is your writing process?
No process really. An idea hits me and just kind of grows from there. I write a book from beginning to end. I do edit the books, but I don't do re-writes. What I wrote is what you get.
What do you read for pleasure?
Horror books. Stephen King and Dean Koontz mostly. I know they're not book from the Paranormal Romance books that I write, but it's what I love.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
The Kindle Fire. Everyone in my house has one.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was 37. I'm 41 now and have 8 published novels.

Needful Things
Misery
From a Buick 8

I love them because Stephen King is a god at writing a story and drawing you into it. The man is a master!
