What do your fans mean to you?
They mean everything. The book would not be available if I did not have their support. The story is for them.
What are you working on next?
I am currently working on a sequel to the book and writing another on the life of young boys in the army. Their fears their tragedies and the good times they experience.
Who are your favorite authors?
Harold Robbins, Wilbur Smith, Jefferey Archer, Tolstoi, Ayan Rand, Megre and many more
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To know that I am might meet someone new and have the opportunity to make someones day better.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I trade with tea and coffee. Both commodities which is a pleasant experience for people. When I have the time I get involved in counseling and life skills training.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I have certain topics I search for and read the synopsis of the books in the topic.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes. I was twelve years old. Loved books on magic and hypnosis. I wrote a story of a magician who wanted to change the world by using the limited powers he had as a magician.
What is your writing process?
When I am passionate about something I make notes as ideas,realizations or conversations come up. I sit down and write it all down without thinking. From there I find structure and organize my chapters and characters. I begin each chapter again by writing without thinking. Thinking blocks the creative process. Lastly come the research, changes and editing.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Yes. It was an Afrikaans books. It was about a group of boys who formed their own club and all the experiences they had as friends. This made me realize the precious gift of having close friends
How do you approach cover design?
My cover design was has elements taken from form the book. It consists of main symbolism I want to convey. The cover should tell a brief story by looking at it. when main symbols or pictures are identified it is a matter of visually arranging it to create the most impact.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
River God, Wilbur Smith. It gives an insight into the past of Egypt which intrigues all and the fact it is a historical account of a slave.
The Courtney series of books by Wilbur Smith in the mining industry. My father worked in the mines and often used to take me underground into coal and gold mines as a boy.
Atlas shrugged, Ayan Rand. I love philosophical books.
Calos Castenada series. The teachings describes in the books are priceless and the trials that he was put through described with humour.
What do you read for pleasure?
Books on life.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
Kindle.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Websites, radio and friends who are on Facebook.

Big, L shaped, desktop computer on my left, printer behind me and to my right a lot of space to pack out notes and books
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in a little town called Dundee in Natal. Her I experience freedom as a child to run free in the streets at night without any fear. I experienced what it was like to in boarding school when my parents moved and to be alone. Later I moved to Springs, Gauteng to a boys school and realized the influence of friends good and bad.
When did you first start writing?
When I was in military. On guard duty and operational service we were bored. All you had was a writing pad and pens. I would write short stories to take my mind of the war.
What's the story behind your latest book?
It is the story of young men sent to a war which they did not have a choice in.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I am not an Indie author.

Smashwords is valuable as they make the book available to all types of e readers which enables people from all over the world to access my book.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The knowing the words and the experiences could change someones life, make it better.
Where did the information and story in the book come from?
The book was written out of my own life experiences, research and higher inspiration.
Is your book aimed a certain religious group
No. The book is written to be enjoyed by all who has an open mind. It contains teachings for all levels of belief, religion and spirituality.
