First I like to start off with a broad overview of the story. I want to have a beginning, middle and end. Slowly, I'll fill in the story more and more until I start properly typing it out. Many revisions later, the book is complete.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
I remember the first book I read was a fantasy story. It was one of the few books that kept me interested the whole time. To me the most magical thing an author can do in a story is to get the reader addicted to turning the next page.
How do you approach cover design?
Simple and interesting. Though, I'm hardly an expert.
When did you first start writing?
As this is my first book, I don't have a history of writing. However, I have put a lot of time and care into William Wright and the Dragon's Treasure. Characters were crafted to be interesting, the story was carefully filled with intrigue and emotional peaks.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I always said I'd write a book and think everyone has at least one good story in them. This is mine.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Times have changed with the internet and websites like Smashwords. For someone as unknown as me, it just makes sense.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Having someone read my book and really enjoy it.
What are you working on next?
I'll wait and see how popular my first book becomes (start posting those reviews guys). However, I've got some great ideas for a second William Wright based story.
Describe your desk
Clean and organised. I'm definitely someone who likes to be able to see what work needs to be done. Clutter just makes that too hard.
What do your fans mean to you?
Anyone who is a fan inspires me to write.
