I first stared writing probably around 4-5th grade. Around this time, we were actually given creative writing assignments and I was always so happy to complete and share them. Around this time is when I started to write and realized that I loved to do it.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy in writing for me is being able to create a different world and let the characters in that world come to life. I love the fact that once I begin writing, my mind creates so many different ideas and eventually the story begins to write itself.
What is your writing process?
First, I need to find the inspiration to write my story. Most of the time, I get my inspiration by listening to music. Songs have their own stories, and I love listening to deep songs, in which will allow me to extract many different scenarios the piece of music could be used for. I then take the inspiration from the songs that I listen to, and create characters with their own specific backgrounds. Next, I decide on a title and description. Then, I create a cover that goes well with the theme or a main portion of what happens in the story. Lastly, I begin writing while listening to the song I got my inspiration from, and see where my mind leads me.
How do you approach cover design?
In order to design my covers, I make sure to find the ideal person who can represent the main character of the story. Next, I just incorporate aspects into the story into the cover. If the story is a romance novel, than maybe I would include some roses. If the story is more dark, than I would add shadows and darker lettering.
