Published 2017-09-02.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
The first story I wrote was a short story called When Love Can't Wait, about two people who meet online and can't wait to meet for the first time.
What is your writing process?
Working full-time as a CNA at a skilled nursing facility, I write in the early mornings depending if I don't have any errands to run before work.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
The first story I read was Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House in the Big Woods. It was such a great book, I continued on reading the whole series of Wilder's Little House series. It also got me hooked on the television series that was based on the Wilder's Little House books.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
My favorite 5 books are, mentioned previously, Laura Ingalls Wilder's Little House series. She had a way of writing for children that intrigued you. I also like Louisa May Alcott's Little Women as it made women know that they could do anything they put their minds to.
What do you read for pleasure?
I read anything from romance to thriller and mystery and suspense. I also like to read nonfiction articles as well as religious and spiritual.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I prefer to read either on a laptop or mobile phone or tablet.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
I am really just experimenting with self-publishing venues like smashwords.com and lulu.com and createspace.com to see what works best for me.
Describe your desk
Neat and tidy where I can find what I need in a flash.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in southern Idaho in the capital city of Boise. I didn't get into writing until my late adult years after I was married and subsequently divorced from my first husband.
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing in my late adult years after I was married for about 10 years and later divorced after about 5 years later.
