Interview with H Voyer

Describe your desk
A batted twenty+ year old wooden thing, scavenged from a workplace that will remain nameless. Works well enough as a computer station with a stand for the monitor, and has lots of drawers.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I have lived my whole life in the Pacific Northwest. Not sure how that turned me into the twisted freak that I am, but here we are. Too much rain, maybe.
When did you first start writing?
I've been writing my fetish-smut for, what, twenty years, but until now I either just sat on it or gave it away for free online. Time to try and be a slightly better capitalist.
What's the story behind your latest book?
It started life as a commission piece; the payer gave me the name and background of the protagonist, and a loose plot description and I went from there. The version posted here is a expansion/re-write.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
Writing on the topic satisfied certain primal urges, and I'm not really qualified to do anything else at this point. So. To the barricades!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Knowing that I've touched people out there, all over the world, both emotionally and mentally.
What are you working on next?
If I get any kind of response here, I hope to finish my long half-done story Template. (An actual book, or at least novella, as opposed to my first published effort.)
Who are your favorite authors?
The English humorist P. G. Wodehouse. Outdoor humorist Patrick McManus. English fantasy writer Terry Prachett (recently RIP). The scifi writers Robert Sheckley and Isaac Asimov. Travel writer Bill Bryson.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
I have to get out of bed?
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Baking, drawing silly pictures, noodling around on the Internet.
