Interview with W.C Anderson

What inspired you to write GOD-me?
I think each of us want to find purpose in life. The bible is the most printed book on the planet, if it is real then there must be some evidence of God as seen like in the New Testament. This is my journey of reading about the new testament to seeing aspects of it in my life and others. I believe we can all have a story with God, and if God and the bible are real then the story with him is the most important story you will ever have.
What is your writing process?
My process for GOD-me and future titles is to get into the story that I think GOD is writing. I spend allot of time in prayer and reading the bible and going over words that people have given me. Then the things that I think GOD is telling me to do, especially if they are confirmed by a couple of different people. I am in a season right now of taking my Saturday's and trying to do more Evangelism because of some past words spoken over me, and I feel I need to spend more time going out.
How do you approach cover design?
I wanted the book to have a older look to it to fit the material. I think the cover should match the book in some way.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
The Alchemist - there are many lines that you can take and ponder about, it really gets into the meaning of life, I have a habit of spending a bit to much time in that area. Fight Club the book- I loved the poetry about it, I think that is what I liked about the movie as well- "Take a gun to my head and paint the walls with my brains" I know I try to live a good moral life, but the writing in that book I really like. Mere Christianity- I am amazed by C.S Lewis and his way of logically proving things. I couldn't read his other books like Narnia.
What do you read for pleasure?
I don't read that much for pleasure, other then I read a lot about college football. it probably shows in my writing. I am going to grad school for the moment so I am reading alot of text books that I do find interesting. I have been reading a bit of the complete life teachings of Smith Wigglesworth. I am going to read a bit more on the Azuza Street Revival. Really I like reading what I think will be helpful If I decide to write another book. I like a lot of true life missionary stories. And I have been trying to just chew on some psalms. Oh yea I like star wars, although I haven't read any of the books yet.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
E books are something kind of new to me and it is a process getting it perfect, which it probably isn't yet. When I had a tablet I liked reading on it. Phones are a bit small and big PC's are a bit restrictive.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
The whole book idea is more of a passion then a way to support myself. Right now I just want to get a story out. I want it to be unfiltered, true and to be real as it can be because I believe in it. I think as a first time author with no following you can start small and try to grow a fan base with less resources than it used to take.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I think it is always the topic or the interest. Something has to pull at you for you to want to follow the bunny down the rabbit hole. The joy is the journey, and hopefully others can share in that or want to have something similar.
What do your fans mean to you?
I am really grateful whoever may read my book. It is such a amazing experience to inspire anyone.
What are you working on next?
I'm not sure if there will be a next or not, but I will be really praying into it.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The hope of more GOD-me stories, and that I may be able to play a part in some of them. Also pizza, rice and beans, learning new stuff trying to become some sort of a counselor. The hope of meeting my wife someday, also the times I feel God. College football, and getting to swim at a indoor pool. I even get to sleep in on some days. I get to hang out with my friends on Wednesday nights and look forward to spending more time seeing what God may do next.

The most important story you will have is the one that is written between you and God. I want to convince you through my stories and many other's, through audio and video, that a GOD-me story is possible and the New Testament is still alive.
