Interview with Wando

When did you first start writing?
I came out of the womb with a pen in hand! Of course not, I started writing in my mid-twenties when I found myself being bored with television. I have to say penning my own stories is a lot more interesting than frying my brain on television.
What's the story behind your latest book?
Twilight is what. Yes that book. No I have still not read it. But I got me thinking, what if I wanted a more adult and more intelligent take on vampires.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My story features a gay illiterate male prostitute, a bumptious vampire tutor and all these set in a historical background in the Renaissance French era wars of religion ... Needless to say I did not think my story had enough mainstream appeal to attract the bean counters at the publishing houses. Thankfully, self-publishing allows us to let the reader decide the stories they want to read. Let a thousand flowers bloom, I say.
