Interview with Wavewalker

Who are your five favorite authors, and why?
My five favourite authors are Dr. Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra, Thich Nhat Hanh, Don Miguel Ruiz and Louis Hay. I have been inspired in many ways by these authors as I have connected to my own spirit guides that helped me to write this first book called "The Order of Creation". These authors all touch on our spirit as being part of a divine intelligence that we are one with. Their teachings are similar to the teachings of our ceremonies and we all have inherently been given a way to connect to creator. Our way is through our ceremonies where I have been practicing and using meditations and visualizations while sharing new age teachings with our spirituality. It has been said "there are many paths to the truth but their is only one truth" . They say that the creator is everywhere and you are one with that source. You are one with mother earth, the sun, the air, the water and with entire cosmos. This divine intelligence is everywhere, in the rocks which we use in the sacred sweat lodge, in the sacred fire, the sacred water which we pour on the rocks and makes the steam that provides the healing energy to your mind, body and spirit. In the sweat lodge ceremony you become one with time, space, matter and your thoughts, songs and prayer affirmations all become one with the source of all things. An invisible spiritual energy that manifests your intentions into the physical world.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
At this time I have not marketed my book except to make it available for free on smashwords.com. I have told some friends about it and shared that the book is available as an ebook that can be downloaded for free. I intend at some point to market my book; and have some ideas on how to do that.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up on a reservation in northern Manitoba, called Nisichawayasihk. I asked my late dad one day, how he knew what medicines to use for some of the people who came to see him. He said he "asks creator and the guidance comes through a dream". I also remember my mom saying, "that everything is possible". And I have heard a lot of stories of how our people were very spiritual people and had that reputation within our territories. There is a footprint on the rock on the banks of "footprint lake" and it is said that "wesuka'achak" a legend of our people left that footprint on the rocks. Our people speak of "wesuka' achak" as a " hero of Cree legends with divine powers" This knowledge has influenced me and is reflected in my writing to help you understand who you are. If you do not understand who you are; how are you ever going to fulfill your own purpose in life. We all have a destiny that we have to fulfill and can only be manifested by connecting with that source that you are one with. I am still on my journey and know that what I need to share with the world will be done not through me but in connection with the divinity that is in you, myself and everybody else.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing in October of 2012 and published my first ebook in March of 2013.
What are you working on next?
I am writing a book about our the spirituality of my Cree ancestors and how they connected to the source of all things for healing and wellness. Our ancestors practiced their spirituality through their ceremonies and their way of understanding how the super consciousness works and how that awareness became the applied knowledge and wisdom of our people.

This new book is titled "Mastering the Way of Creation" and shares an ancient advanced way of life for spiritual health and wellness.
Who are your favorite authors?
Tich Nhat Hnah and Wayne Dyer.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes , it was a story i wrote about Christmas when i was probably in grade five. I think i may have won a prize for it but not sure what the prize was or who had awarded the prize. Our teacher just said write a story and I guess he entered that into some contest somewhere.
What's the story behind your latest book?
I am finishing off a book titled: Mastering the Way of Creation. Its about how our Cree ancestors used the sweat lodge and pipe ceremonies for health and wellness for their family, friends and community. The book identifies a grateful process of prayers or affirmations that were used during the ceremonies which have been practiced for thousands of years. It involves spiritual laws of giving and receiving including acceptance and forgiveness which are one and the same. Gratitude from your total being-ness of heart, mind, body and spirit requires a giving and acceptance with total love and trust to your higher self. This book identifies a way to become a master of creation, a way to help others help themselves, a way to healing and wellness.
