I mostly enjoy reading poetry, but definitely fiction is the most fun for me.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
For e-reading, I either use my iPad or my Mac.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing poetry in High School, my first attempts at writing fiction were when I was in college, though those have gotten lost in the shuffle since.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Not really, no
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Well, I was born in Phoenix, Arizona, but since we left when I we 2, and only lived in Kansas for two years, I grew up in rural central Missouri. I don't know that it's really influenced my writing, other than most of what I write is based on what I've experienced and people I know.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I would say partly as something to do with my time and my idle thoughts; my old neighbor kept telling me I should start writing, and other than the poetry and lost parts of stories, that's kind of when it all started.
Describe your desk
It's not much, it's just a workbench style table that my brother and I knocked out in most of an afternoon, made from 2X4s and 1X12 lumber
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
I think the real joy is seeing the fruits of my thoughts either on paper or on the computer screen in a format that can be enjoyed in the future for years to come.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Back Pain haha, no, seriously... I guess the fact that I've been allowed another day to do what i'm doing, and I might as well not waste it.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Either messing about on the computer or playing music
