Interview with Andrew Bell

When did you first start writing?
I first started writing in July of 2005. It was on a Star Wars text based role-playing website. This is where the story of my writing began.
What's the story behind your latest book?
A young man learns that he has the gift of a wisher, someone who can grant others wishes. There are three laws that must not be broken in granting another's wish, and when the young man's true love is fatally injured in a car crash - he risks everything and breaks all three rules in one wish. Now, his learns his life is forfeit as he and his love are on the run from the enforcers of the wisher laws hunt them down. There is only one hope in saving their lives. That hope lies in the heart of Ireland, where along their way lies hundreds of enforcers set on killing him and his girlfriend.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
My desire and hope to one day be able write my stories full time, to share my stories with the world. But mostly so that my wife, Katie, will be able to read the stories that we have dreamed of together.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
When I publish my first story, we will see. For now, the possibility to get my work published inexpensively and over such a diverse venue is a great hope builder for the future of my writing.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Watching my story take shape, my characters grow in their choices and actions, and the ability to set a scene and listen to others talk about my writing- both good and bad.
