Interview with Williams Michael Manja

When did you first start writing?
I started writing since my high school final year, in 1999
What's the story behind your latest book?
it is about how aliens were discovered in Africa.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I like to reach to a lot of people. I like to contribute to knowledge in the way I can do best.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords helps me as a young and up-coming author; it gives me the opportunity to freely write and to reach out to myriads of other writers and readers. I met some authors that are helping me in developing my writing skills, all with the help of Smashwords.
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Joy of writing for me, is when you perceive that, many people are reading your work and they are learning from it. I am happy when i am able to let people to read from my mind through writing. At least, what I know, shall not die with me.
What do your fans mean to you?
They are the important people that encourage me to write better. they mean a lot to me as my judges, teachers and muses.
What are you working on next?
I am working on a science fiction about aliens in Africa. I am also working on conservation books about wild life.
Who are your favorite authors?
Daniel L. Lowery is at present, my favorite author. His writing prowess and skills, I admire it so much.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
The muse; inspiration to write.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I am not writing, I spend my time reading important books. I also spend time with my friends and family.
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I check the update from my favorite authors on smashwords, and other captivating tittles from other authors.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I first wrote on "The struggling for survival" my first book written since my high school, and just recently published on smashwords.
What is your writing process?
I think of what to write or observe around me happenings that needs me to let the world know. I just get my characters in place, and only follow them as they act and I write in our imaginative interactions.
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
Much Ado about nothing, by Williams Shakespeare, had great literary impact on me to date.
How do you approach cover design?
I use software to design it in line with specifications
