Interview with Connie Howell

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The greatest joy of writing for me is getting to share what I know and have experienced throughout my life. I had a spiritual awakening at the age of 28 yrs and want to show people that having extra sensory abilities is really a natural thing for all of us and we can all develop them. I write in a practical way as I am a practical down to earth person.
What book marketing techniques have been most effective for you?
Being on Goodreads and Facebook and word of mouth
When did you first start writing?
I first started writing at senior school in England during English classes where we were asked to write composition.i found that I had a flair for story telling and poetry.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
I am new to Smashwords but feel it is a great opportunity to offer my work on a wider scale.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Life is short and needs to be fully lived. Some days are more fulfilling than others and I believe we are all here to experience all that life has to offer.
Who are your favorite authors?
Dr. Wayne Dyer. Carolyn Myss and Greg Braden
What is your e-reading device of choice?
My kindle. I can take it with me anywhere
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in England where I was born. My family background gave me material to write about and my subsequent life in Australia from the age of 24 yrs. My spiritual awakening at age 28 yrs has been the biggest influence on my writing.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
It was the only way at this time that I could publish my work and have it available to readers who might get value from it. I find that being an indie author gives me the freedom to write in my own voice, so the reader gets the real me.
What are you working on next?
My next book is more in depth about the illusion that we are only human. I try to explain that we all have divinity within us and that we are connected to the universal source, that no one is left behind. As the book unfolds I too find new meaning as it is transmitted from consciousness to the keyboard.
