I have always loved to read and have many, many favorites. My favorites are quite a diverse list. Number one is the Holy Bible with its many contributors especially the Father. Other favorites include Tom Clancy, Robert Ludlum, H.P. Lovecraft, President Jimmy Carter, Dr Seuss (Fox in Sox is an all time classic), Stephen E. Ambrose, David McCullough, Stephen King, Robert A. Heinlein, Mark Twain, Edgar Allan Poe, Robert Louis Stevenson and John Birmingham.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
I love to be outdoors especially with my family. I love camping, fishing and hunting. I have been involved with the Boy Scouts for quite some time and love to go on high adventure trips such as hiking the Rocky Mountains or sailing and snorkeling in the Florida Keys.
My children also participate in a lot of sports. I love coaching their teams and when I am not coaching I enjoy being a fan. I think when my children are finished with sports I may become a referee.
What is your e-reading device of choice?
I primarily use an iPad with the Kindle app. I also have an Amazon Kindle device I use in case one of my young daughters does not want to relinquish my iPad to me.
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
Smashwords provided a comprehensive "one stop shopping" for me to publish the book. They are able to push it to other vendors and markets as well. I believe a story such as this should have as wide as coverage as possible and Smashwords is the number one company that is able to do just that.
In addition to their market reach, Smashwords provides outstanding tools for an author to properly format their book for publishing and how to market it.
