Interview with Andrew P M Yiallouros

What motivated you to become an indie author?
I've been studying life all my life. I've also been living a very varied life. I have so much to share! So indie publishing lets me get my stuff out to the readers, quickly and easily... I just want my stuff read and thought about!
How has Smashwords contributed to your success?
It's made it really easy to publish!
What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
The art, the meditation of communing with myself, my memories and some higher thing and then sharing that...
What are you working on next?
The sequel to The Dragon and The Princess, after I release a book about exams and essays! The sequel is called "The Sorcerer's Kingdom" and it's needed to make sense of the first will deal with the allegory of London and the Western World, show us where the Dragon is going and lots more!
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
To live life to the fullest! And to help bring love and joy!
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
Travelling, reading, cooking, being creative and being with friends...
How do you discover the ebooks you read?
Recommendations and browsing...
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes! I won a prize for it at primary school, it was about a dinosaur funnily enough...
What is your writing process?
Meditation, communing and then going for it. Then a redraft and a redraft and a few edits!
Do you remember the first story you ever read, and the impact it had on you?
One of the first was To Kill a Mocking Bird, it opened my eyes to justice...
How do you approach cover design?
I use my own artwork or photography, I'm an artist too!
Your favourite author?
What a question! It's not possible to answer that truthfully, there's so many! Dostoevsky, Harper Lee, any of the greats, Paulo Coehlo, Carlos Castaneda, and anything spiritual or philosophical, I also like Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Patricia Cornwall and people like that..there's so many more though!
