Cathrin Gordon


Originally from Colombia and raised in New York, Cathrin is finishing a Master of Arts in Art History with the University of Illinois, and gaining mastery of Adobe InDesign, Dreamweaver, Photoshop, HTML, and CSS. After graduation she hopes to obtain a position in higher education, museums, or community outreach. Ultimately, she hopes to combine her passion for the arts, writing/editing skills, and interests in digital media and front end design.

She has been writing poetry and prose since age 11, and has published sporadically since age 17, including a contribution to a hardcover anthology of poetry entitled In the Desert Sun (1994). At present, she is writing her memoirs entitled Madness and the Unlikely Gift. Her recent poetry is featured in The Ivory Tower magazine and she will be a contributor to the Routledge Encyclopedia of Modernism – Latin American Visual Arts section, slated to go live 2016. She lives in Austin, TX with her spouse.
