About Lisa Perry and the Writing of the Lucky Duck Adventures
Married for 35+ years, Lisa and her husband Ken raised 3 children and assorted pets in Sterling, a rural town of Central Mass. She was a stay-at-home-mom with a day care business and later became a librarian for the Sterling Library. In between she wrote stories for the local newspaper, The Meetinghouse News.
“Interviewing local farmers for the newspaper was so interesting to me that I applied to my Local Cultural Council for a grant to research them in depth. It was through one of the farmers that I met Jack. As he was telling me how he got ducks and some of the things that happened with them, I couldn’t help but think of how they would make cute children’s stories.”
