I have always loved writing poetry and short stories, especially for friends or family, but once I became an aunt and then a grandma I felt inspired to write stories that would somehow convey biblical truths to the little ones in my life.
I have been married for 32 years to a wonderful man. I am the mother of two grown children who are married and have children of their own.
Presently, I have seven grandchildren...Five I have been blessed to hug, play with and read to, one on the way and two that went straight home to be with God.
My hope and prayer is that these books will honor and glorify God, and reflect the love He has for us all.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I was born and grew up in the Inland Northwest; Spokane, Washington to be exact. The geographical location has a small part to play in my stories and my family life has a larger part, but I believe it is my relationship with Jesus that is the moving force behind what I write.
When did you first start writing?
I have always loved writing. When I was young, I wrote silly little poems; more ditties than anything. As I grew, I wrote more substantial poetry and a few (unfinished) stories. Most of my writing was a result of my loneliness and fear from growing up in what I felt was an insecure environment.
