A.C. Melody

Words of wisdom... will probably never be found here. However, if you like a lot of sass, snark and schmexy entertainment, then you're in the right place, so grab a cup of coffee and stick around awhile!

Hi, I'm the sometimes quirky, mostly unconventional and often contrary (mostly to myself) author, A.C. Melody. I fight with my muse more often than not, I LURVE Kenzie from Lost Girl, drink ridiculous amounts of coffee, enjoy hilarious moments that make me laugh so hard it hurts all over - the more inappropriate the better. I am a first time Indie Author, but I'm already traditionally published. You can find my current Futuristic Erotic Romance novel, The Zen Lounge, for sale at all major eBook retailers (except this one).

A little background: I was raised in the hometown of the Brothers Grimm for my wee kinder years, but Deutsch I no longer sprechen. I come from a family of musicians and artists, was gifted with Black Irish and Native American blood, thus I'm a born Rebel who's a HUGE advocate of creative freedom and can't imagine my life without the arts. I also speak sarcasm fluently in all of its various dialects thanks to my very funny family.

Erotica and all its savory sub-genres is my absolute favorite to read and write. I have a weakness for Hard Ass Alphas with bad attitudes and it's icing if they're supernatural on top of it. I love strong women, no matter how submissive or demure they are, they should have a core of strength and the willingness to admit their flaws/evolve and grow - not just demand that of their men. Cliches are often unavoidable, so if they can't be avoided I always try to put an unexpected twist on them. I'm guilty of placing all my money on the underdogs, the anti-heroes and the shameless whores.

Smashwords Interview

When did you first start writing?
When I was in Junior High. One of my best friends would get sent to Southern California for long periods of time and for some reason, we started writing short stories back and forth to one another. I think it was our way of enjoying the lives we wished we'd had at the time, escape from reality, but it opened up the door for me to a whole new passion and what would become a lifelong love.
What motivated you to become an indie author?
I wanted more control and say over my own creation. I was also very curious over the process, the experience. I have an insatiable curiosity, but so far it's panned out!
