Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
I wrote a large variety of stories as a kid in school. I was always the first person to raise their hand to read their story and most of the time it ended in a roaring applause. The first that I truly recall though took place during the summer of 2004. Every summer my mom would drive me to Jersey to spend a few months with my uncle, her brother. He had always been my role-model and in fact, he's the reason I wanted to become a writer. That summer he was working tirelessly on his first novel, THE HOUSE WHERE CHARLIE LIVED." I, of course, had to be just like him and write my own story. For the life of me I can't remember what I named it, but I remember it was a ghost story, very much like my uncle's. It was based in the town that he was living in at the time, Lavallette, New Jersey. Right by the shore and right around the corner from Seaside Heights. It was about this family who started experiencing faults in their electronics that typically all started going insane at the same time. Turns out there was a ghost ship at the shore that was altering electricity. I remember the big action scene was based on something that had actually happened to us one night where a power box literally exploded right before our eyes. To this day, that is still my favorite summer.
What is your writing process?
Months of procrastination and a long, long list of YouTube videos to get me into the perfect mindset for it.
