A.H. Wallace

Biography

I'm a 29 year old amateur author from Texas. I have a strange sense of humor, interest and knowledge in several subjects, and a general desire to make other people smile. Some of my biggest influences include Douglas Adams, Phillip K Dick, and Neil Gaiman.

Smashwords Interview

What are your five favorite books, and why?
My five favorite books are as follows, in no particular order:

American Gods by Neil Gaiman - It's a clever take on the nature of mythology, and does a good job at building its world.

The Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy (and its many sequels) by Douglas Adams - These books never fail to make me laugh.

Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep by Phillip K Dick - A classic work of science fiction that has been a huge inspiration on the genre as a whole.

The Stars My Destination by Alfred Bester - A less well known classic, but a great tale and example of world building in science fiction.

Good Omens by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett - Another one of those books that is just, in general, hilarious and fun to read.
What do you read for pleasure?
A lot of things, really. These include Fantasy, Science Fiction, Horror, Mystery (especially classic early 20th century detective novels), Shakespeare, poetry, and pretty much anything depending on my mood.
