This is one of the few horror stories that I've read recently that actually made me think. It isn't so much about fast-paced action, zombie killing, and violence, it is more about the world we live in and how dangerously close so many of us our to having to make horrifying choices to protect the ones we love. The story is a slow burn to an inevitable end. This is the kind of story to read, pause, and contemplate. Much enjoyed.

I read another story by this writer and thought I would give this one a try. I am glad I did! For a short story, it is reasonably long and a good read if you enjoy zombie fiction. The details and descriptiveness are eerie and kind of claustrophobic - it is one man (who is kinda skewed) in a world of the dead. Pretty good action, and a nice twist on zombies. Plus, I loved the rock 'n roll tie in!
