Smashwords Interview

Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors are Robert Heinlein and Alan Dean Foster. Heinlein fills his worlds with strong, unique characters that are always challenging the normal ideas of society while challenging the reader with new ideas as well. Alan Dean Foster fill his worlds with fascinating characters that explore worlds that have very vivid and unique animals and plants. Both authors entertain, inspire, and engage the reader in their own powerful ways.
What are your five favorite books, and why?
My favorite book is "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress" by Robert Heinlein. It is about a rebellion of the moon, which has become a cross between a penal colony and mining corporation. The rebellion gives a brilliant look at the politics of revolution, teaching the reader as it entertains. Plus, it has an awesome character named "Mike", who is a sentient, joke loving computer that makes the rebellion possible. What else could a computer geek want in a book?

Excellent book! The action is non-stop from the start, and the plot takes several turns, which keeps the reader engaged. It also has the right balance of interesting dialogue and action that would make it great for a movie. You should definitely read it!
