Adrianne Ambers is a country girl who longed to travel away from the Ozark hills and streams of Southern Illinois. She got her wish by marrying her Air Force guy and living in interesting places throughout the United States and Panama. Her writing is flavored with down-home charm and worldly experience. Although she now lives in a suburb of Atlanta, Georgia, she has fond memories of her life on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and Southern Illinois--thus, her love for all things Southern. Readers can find her writing (ePubs) on Smashwords and Amazon. Her favorite websites are: https://www.facebook.com/AdrianneAmbers and http://www.adrianneambers.com
What's the story behind your latest book?
I wrote this book before Shades of Gray hit the internet, the shelves, and the big screen. When I first read an author named Babs Deal, I wanted to create a hero named Troy. In Ms. Deal's famous Acres of Afternoon, poor Troy perishes in a car accident. Of course, those were the days when good girls didn't fool around with somewhat bad boys. My bad boy not only lives, he thrives, and finds love in the person of a mousey (he first thinks) librarian. If he didn't need her, he would never have bothered to seek her out. Bobbie is trusting, tenderhearted, and a lot more savvy than Troy thinks. Put the two together to solve a problem and the results are electrifying. Look for a coupon soon. I want loving couples everywhere to enjoy this romantic/erotic romp.
Warning: Don't read this alone! An sexy romance set in Hollywood has all the right elements to excite the senses and keep you turning the pages. Mousey librarian Bobbie is recruited by sexy, rich Troy to find her missing starlet sister. The success of their adventure throws a fist in their future, but can they overcome the obstacles presented by their very different lives.
Lavender farmer Emily Johnson will do what she must to save her farm with its stand of native forest from becoming the next prison. When citified Guy Davies arrives to buy her out, she greets him with a shotgun and a dog that quickly turns traitor. When Emily is threatened by a vicious escaped con, Guy proves to her that a city slicker can be a hero as well as a lover.
Will long-time friends and sorority sisters clash over the new guy in town? Good looking Danny Fane is a prize and Jenny seems to know it. Has she invited hard-working Lisa to an impromptu come-as-you-are party to make her look bad in her old sweatshirt and cutoff jeans? To make matters worse, Lisa must go to work Monday at the same office as the hunky new guy.
Famous country music singer Addy Wampler may be semi-retired, but she's not too old for a miracle... or three to come knocking on Christmas Eve. Her Ozark Mountain home feels a little lonely this year. No children; no grandchildren; no singing in the Nashville Christmas Special. As the snow falls and the midnight hour creeps closer, will there be a special song in the air for Addy?
Thanksgiving at Magnolia Hill is a sequel to Christmas at Magnolia Hill. Years may have separated Addy from her childhood sweetheart, Dr. Keith Eversole, but she has made a delightful discovery: a soul mate is not a myth, but another miracle biding its time until forever is in sight.
