Poems alive with the presence of the divine Other. I find this work interesting, but more a promise than a delivery. It is good reading, but just a bit wordy, as though the poet refrained from striking the superfluous word. There are a number of very good lines ... "I prepare a shout of pure longing..." "lucid night,/ be loud for a moment." "Conceal me, dark shroud of mystery..." ...that call surely to the muse and fill me with the sense of something waiting just beyond reach. This is a poet that bears watching.
