You go through so many emotions in this story. At times you could be happy and laughing. At other times, you are depressed and terrified. There were parts I felt the author was just a little too brutal in her descriptions, for my taste. With all that said I have to say that this series up to now, is well written. JK Accinni knows how to grab your attention and make you fall in love with the characters. There is a hidden message in this series. I just hope that humans see it and start to make a difference. I will start by giving Cake, as a peace offering ;)

When I started to read this book, I thought to myself "What did I get myself into"? A book based in the late 1920's with a couple living on a farm giving their daughters hand away in marriage. Wow, was I wrong! Once Netty got the courage to leave her abusive husband and run to a place where she always felt secure, that this story started to draw me in. Of course this is when she encounters a dying creature. She feels the need to take it in and care for it. Not only was this story a tragic at times but it was also very touching. The love that bonds these two is heartwarming and yes I will admit it, it's a tear jerker as well. Your emotions take a ride right along with the twist and turns that develop in the story. If you are a pet lover and a person that believes that things happen for a reason, then I must say this is the kind of book that you will not want to put down. ET may be phoning home, but I'm calling on Echo being even better!
  • Armageddon Cometh, Species Intervention #6609 Book Three on April 16, 2013

This book in the series has a little of ET meets Independence Day. Abby is on a mission not only to save her family but also the lives of animals. Finally, we start getting hints about the mission Echo and Baby are on. I just love Echo and her sense of humor. I'm always looking forward to seeing what she will be saying next =)

JK Accinni has done it again!!! She has such an amazing imagination, that's for sure. And boy, does she hit you with the reality of life!! Yes there are parts of this book that drag on and for my taste, just a little too harsh for a young reader. Some of the characters are just so mean, you really want to crawl into the book and knock some sense into them. You get some answers from some of the questions you may have had from the previous books but will definitely have more about what will happen in the new world. Sadly to say, but I think we could learn a lesson or two from Baby and Echo. We need to take a stand and pray for a better world for humans and our pets.
