Oo, this is my favorite YA fantasy series! I rapidly fell in love with the characters. Selunia and Soris are a wonderful couple with a very complicated forbidden love story. The action is very well done, detailed and with sudden twists. I enjoyed seeing the events through the eyes of the characters and getting an insight into how they think and see the world. The world building is great, but the character building is even greater because you get to see how the fact that they grew up in different environments influences their behaviors and decisions. Soris grew in a loveless family and in a kingdom tormented by war while Selunia grew up in a small but magical country and a loving family. I also like the light jokes in this book and how the romance gradually develops.

The second book of the series gets even better! The mysteries that surround the Arid Kingdom's old castle start to unfold and make you look forward to discovering all the secrets. The relationship between the characters is something I enjoyed the most. It's so funny how a single event gets misinterpreted by each character. The ill father-son relationship between the king and prince Soris is simply hilarious, but it's also what gives Selunia good opportunities. The king is sly, Soris knows that, but Selunia doesn't. The action again didn't fail to impress me. I love Selunia's magical powers and the prince's cool sword skills. I think the two make an awesome team and an adorable couple. Dual has no chance to win Selunia's heart despite being a ladies man, but he's a fun addition to the story. If you've finished the first book, you'll definitely love the second!

Wow! Simply wow! This book has everything I ever wanted. It's the perfect blend of action + romance + comedy + suspense. It reminded me of the Thor trilogy. I don't know if it's only me, but I feel like Soris and Selunia have chemistry. They're just meant for each other and everything that comes between them is only to add more spice to their relationship. I noticed a difference of writing style between the first two books and this one and I must say it was a pleasant surprise. The story flows. Sometimes it's entertaining, sometimes it makes your heart beat faster, and other times it makes you turn page after page and become a bit sad when you realize you're about to finish the book. I love how although the story is complicated and the action scenes complex, it's easy to understand what happens. I definitely recommend this book and the entire series actually. You'll never get bored of it.
