Sherylynne L. Rochester
Biography
Sherylynne L. Rochester, a Brooklyn, New York native, is someone who loves Jesus, music, and writing to the fullest. She has always had a love of music and while growing up in the city she spent a lot of time singing and song writing, while also being a member of the Girls’ Choir of Harlem, the sister choir of the Boys Choir of Harlem. Upon leaving school she attended Five Towns College in Dix Hills, Long Island, where she received her bachelor's degree in business management and audio recording.
It was at college that Sherylynne discovered a passion for writing, something which has since become a major part of her life. It was during a magazine article writing class in college, she met the Wonder Twinz. There she realized she could use her writing to help motivate and inspire others for Christ. She has now penned three novels – Altered Destiny: A Hustler's Choice, Altered Destiny: Second Chance, & Chronicles of a Vixen, along with two new books coming out later in 2016. She has also put out a single, I'm Blessed which was produced by Just Awesome Music.
Now residing in the beautiful Pennsylvania, where she is a minister and a Praise and Worship Leader at Prevailing Word Ministries (Brooklyn, NY), Sherylynne sees it as her duty to bring people closer to God through music and worship, helping them to find God and experience Him and the love He has for them. As part of her work she encourages Christian single women through her All Chosen & Virtuous Women Blog and on Instagram.
When she isn’t hard at work doing the will of God or working on her music and next novel, Sherylynne still loves to sing, is learning to play keyboard and guitar, writes almost daily and relaxes by watching TV or reading. She also loves to travel and is a fitness instructor for Beachbody Turbo Kick Live and Cize Live. She was certified in 2015 and loves helping others get healthy and fit.
Sherylynne was recently engaged to Samuel in April 2016, after having waited patiently for God to send her the right and perfect man for her. After over 15 years of waiting, Sherylynne is now engaged and telling her story of how she went through and got to this place in hopes other women can learn from her and wait for the one God has for them.
It is this deep faith in God and passion for purpose and life, which has made her the success she is today. To date Sherylynne L. Rochester has sold over 60,000 books worldwide.
