A formal description
Marika Ronthy is a licensed psychologist and has worked as a clinical psychologist and, since the mid-1980s, as a lecturer and business consultant, mainly within the areas of leadership and personal development. She is also the founder of the Swedish company Amfora Future Dialogue AB, www.amforadialog.se www.leaderintelligence.org
She has created a new model for performance appraisals at all levels of an organisation. The model is described in her Swedish book Utvecklingssamtalets 7 Nycklar (2004), Liber, the title of which translates to “The 7 Keys to a Performance Appraisal”.
During 1998–2006 she was engaged to carry out an educational assignment (EMBA) at the Stockholm University School of Business. The topic was developmental leadership. Marika Ronthy has also written the Swedish book Samtal som utvecklar (med Suzanne Rosendahl), the title of which translates to “Conversations that Develop”. That book was chosen as the Leadership Book of the Year in Sweden in 1993. She has also written the Swedish book Relationer och dialog på arbetsplatsen (1998), Liber, the title of which translates to “Relationships and Dialogue at the Workplace”.
In 2011 she was one of four authors who produced an interdisciplinary Swedish publication that went under the heading: Skaparkraften – en idéskrift om organisationens värden och växande, Oskar Media. The heading of that publication translates to “The Power of Creation – a publication on ideas about an organisation’s values and growth”.
Marika is part of a research group at University West in Trollhättan, Sweden, where her leadership model, Ledarskapets Intelligens (“The Intelligence of Leadership”), is being validated under the leadership of Anna Dåderman, Associate Professor PhD (Psychology), MD (Forensic Psychiatry).
An informal description
She has a stubborn belief in the fact that all people can develop if they want to.
She wants to contribute to future generations discovering that life shouldn’t only be steered by external values, and to the next generation of managers finding a balance between being a private person and a professional.
