Smashwords Interview

Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes, my English teacher in the 7th grade asked us to write a two page story for homework.

I handed in 27 pages the next day. It was a story about a young boy who finds a flying carpet. I still have it..
What is your writing process?
Inspiration arrives on the whispering lips of a Muse. This is when I start to dream my characters. It takes a while, but they start meeting me for coffee. We chat, we chat, we chat some more...

Then there's a lucid time where I am no longer talking to them about my inspiration; rather, they are telling the story. I simply type.
