Biography

Between reading my dad's old bible, trying to figure out how in the world my 11 year-old is growing breasts and fretting over the rules of punctuation, I work on stories that I hope will speak to those who read them as much as they have spoken to me.
I live and write in Southern California.

Who are your favorite authors?
There have been so many. I guess if I had to pick the ones that grabbed me early on, they would have to be Tolkien, Frank Herbert, C.S. Lewis and all of the old-school science fiction guys. There was just something about where I came from that made other worlds of imagination resonate with me.
What inspires you to get out of bed each day?
Every day is a brand-new chance to take a shot at something great. Who wouldn't want to participate in that? It doesn't hurt that we have cats and dogs and a kid to get off to school!
