Anna Mae "Red Rose" Johnson was born in Ocean Springs, Mississippi. She has been happily married to the same man for 43 years and currently resides in Browns Mills, New Jersey. Her life is a living, walking testimony of her faith in God. Through trials, hardships, loss of family and friends, and more, she continues to spread the Gospel through her singing, "Red Rose" Christian comedic shows, and the showering of love she shares with everyone she encounters.
Anna Mae attends Word of Life Christian Center in Springfield Township, New Jersey where Dr. Frederick Thompson is the pastor. Her message to the masses is: Have faith in God and thank Him for blessings both seen and unseen. Anna Mae's core Bible verse comes from Proverbs 3:5, and it reads:
"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding." (KJV)
When did you first start writing?
In 2015, God called me to write my first book.
What's the story behind your latest book or series of books?
The "God, Please Send Me a Prom Date" series brings healing to others through the characters in the story. The books are written in a way that makes the reader feel as if they are a part of the story.
"God, Please Send Me a Prom Date - Part Two" delves even deeper into the lives of the main characters. While the author's message remains constant, experiencing life through the stories that many can relate to makes reading parts one AND two truly enjoyable. Cheer on the main characters as you witness God's unchanging hand moving in their lives!
The author's message is one of spiritual love, natural love, faith in God, and the negative (and often long-lasting) effects of bullying. Through the author's whit and personality, the reader will experience characters with real and relatable voices commonly heard in today's society.
