Smashwords Interview

What is the greatest joy of writing for you?
Writing is hard work, no matter what anyone tells you. But there is a great satisfaction in knowing you have created a world, filled it with people dealing with conflicts and problems, and then being able to make it all come out right in the end--very unlike "real" life. My greatest joy is when someone comes up to me and tells me how much they enjoyed my books. It is a thrill every time.
What do your fans mean to you?
I love them! They let me know when I'm doing something right, and are honest enough to tell me when I'm going astray. I especially like fans who ask when I am going to write a sequel. That's the greatest compliment I can imagine.
