Smashwords Interview

Who are your favorite authors?
My favorite authors are Terry Brooks, Jim Butcher and the latest addition to my list of favorites is Shawn Speakman. Each author tells a great story and their worlds are one I can get lost in. Terry's world of Shannara captivated me shortly after school when I found one of his books on clearance and after reading it discovered I had only just begun my journey. Since then I've gone on to read almost every book he has written to date. Jim's wit and humor in the Dresden files along with pitting his characters against impossible odds and seeing how he overcomes them has me reading upwards of 50 pages a night when I should be trying to sleep. The recent stories by Shawn Speakman are wonderful tales. His mix of reality and lore makes for tales that leave me wanting more. I am looking forward to reading more by Shawn Speakman.
When you're not writing, how do you spend your time?
When I'm not writing I'm either working, reading, training in Shinkendo or doing research for my stories. If I'm not doing any of that I'm usually hanging out with friends.
