Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
Most of my childhood I lived with my grandma near the Colonial District in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. You could hear as a child any kind of stories about the ghosts not only in the colonial buildings but in the town where my grandma grew up in Barahona. I was such a fan of mistery stories, and I guess what I am trying to do is preserve this memories as short stories that other people might read too.
When did you first start writing?
Well, I learn to write at a very young age, so it was really fun for me to read all kind of books and once I read all the ones at home I just decided to start writing my own stories. I started probably at eight years old writing poems and songs, and once in high school I started with the novels...
