  • Make My Wish Come True; A Christmas Romance on Dec. 08, 2014

If you love romances with alpha males (and surely there are lots of you out there), then this Christmas story is right up your alley. Quinn McGrath is a mountain of a man with a Celtic accent, and Livy suddenly appears in his bedroom, as an answer to both of their wishes. They first get into a kind of "Baby It's Cold Outside" type of banter, as Livy is torn between wanting to stay and wanting to go. Well, let’s just say the lure of a crackling fire and an alpha male are very powerful indeed for our heroine.
  • Peppermint Kisses on Dec. 26, 2014

It’s easy to say reading "Peppermint Kisses" is like eating a candy cane: it’s festive for the holiday, and the peppermint gives a sweet and wintry-chill feeling in your mouth. Not only that, but the two women (Chrissy and Nicolette) in the story taste like peppermint — as when Jack kisses them on their lips … and kisses them down below. The book is aptly titled, and not just because the characters kiss after eating a candy cane, but also because peppermint sticks are used in a way I never thought of. A fun tale for some holiday spirit that's much different than you'd get at the shopping mall :)
  • All in One Night on Dec. 26, 2014

Charles Dickens’s "A Christmas Carol" was never quite like this! Instead of Ebenezer Scrooge, we have Emmy who’s not thrilled about Christmas, and this story starts off with her telling some kids in a department store that Santa isn’t real. So we know right off that this is a bah-humbug kind of gal. When the three ghosts visit Emmy that night, they’re not all how I remember the ghosts to be in the Dickens version. Instead, they're much sexier -- the three hunks of Christmas :) Not only do the ghosts show these visions to Emmy, they give her a treat afterward. Christmas is for giving, after all. And some of that giving happens on a bed.
  • The Fruitcake on Dec. 26, 2014

This story is more like a sugar cookie than a slice of fruitcake — which I have yet to meet one that I like. This is a sweet and fun short story about a retired grandfather (Robert) who’s not keen at all on sticking to a healthy lifestyle that includes a fiber-rich diet, getting exercise, and — from how he sees it — not a whole lot of fun. When a fruitcake is delivered on Robert and Lydia’s porch, the bored retiree is inspired with an idea for a fun prank. What happens next is some good-natured holiday fun that spices up Robert's retirement. And he seems like the kind of guy who'll think up some other bit of fun after this, to keep spicing things up :)
  • 101 Degrees Fahrenheit on Jan. 16, 2015

A hot story, and not just because of the temperature! The mentions of the deeper story gave the book more depth than two characters meeting in a single scene and just get it on. Having some back story to Kathy and Dean offer more substance, and I enjoyed that. Hell, there could've been more back story, and I wouldn't have complained.
