John Andrew C. Chilver

Where did 'Messiah' originate from, and how was 'Charlie' born?

First, I had to be created, which happened in 1962, and led to my introduction to the world in 1963.

In the mid 1990s I filed a patent application for the innovation of artificial muscle – a requisite for efficient, autonomous, robotic function.

In the late 1990s I completed a university course in Artificial Intelligence.

In 1999 I wrote the novella 'Messiah' about the second coming at the dawn of the millennia – of the aliens who created humankind.

Which brings us to 'Charlie', who has been almost nine years in gestation, and is looking forward to meeting you.

'Messiah' is the story of the second coming. Not of Christ, but of his kind – visitors who had been to earth before, and recognized the potential – both good and bad – of its inhabitants. Written and set in 1999, just prior to the Millennium, Messiah is a thought provoking contemplation of belief and its origins – and the lengths to which the faithful will go to protect their religion.
