Ken Isaacson
Ken Isaacson has been a practicing attorney for almost thirty-five years. Born and raised in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, he graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and went on to earn his law degree at Columbia Law School. He began his legal career at a major Wall Street firm and continues to practice law today as in-house general counsel to an international transportation company.
Ken is a member of the Mystery Writers of America, and after a number of terms on the Board of Directors of MWA’s New York chapter, he received that organization’s Silver Noose Award for his dedicated service. Ken chairs the chapter’s Communications Committee, and serves on its Mentor Committee. He is also a moderator of the chapter’s online discussion forum.
His first novel, “Silent Counsel,” was the subject of exceptional praise. Kirkus Reviews declared that it “boasts a complex story and heart-pounding climax that will have readers looking forward to Isaacson’s next,” while Booklist proclaimed that “readers will be riveted by this morally complex story.” Upon its release, “Silent Counsel” shot to the No. 2 spot on Amazon’s list of Hot New Releases in Legal Thrillers, and for the month of January 2008, only two titles surpassed it on Amazon’s list of Bestselling Legal Thrillers: John Grisham’s “The Appeal,” and Harper Lee’s “To Kill a Mockingbird.”
Ken lives in New Jersey with his wife, Sylvia, their two dogs, Toby and Lily, and their cat, Cleopatra (all of which they rescued). He has three terrific sons, Brandon, Devon, and Jared, three wonderful stepdaughters, Dail, Dawn, and Daryl, and three amazing grandchildren, Kyle, Daniel, and Danielle. He rides a Harley.
