Biography

The Divinity Saga came about from a recurring dream. From the start, the character of Starling came to fruition. At first, Divinity the Gathering was meant to be just one book but I couldn’t see how both Starling and Cam`ael’s story would be complete in just one. I don’t have any impressive accolades or awards to mention as far as my writing history goes though I have been writing for many, many years. I love to write and I’m thrilled to know that people are reading it and even more so, liking what they are reading. This is the first time I’ve decided to finally try my hand at publishing something. Though I dabble in many genres I gravitate more towards urban fantasy and paranormal. In my spare time, books replace television and I love reading horror. I love trying new things and since I love to cook and bake, much of that creative energy ends up on the dinner table, whether it be a meal or dessert. I reside in Texas and work in Law Enforcement to supplement both my writing and reading habit. I do respond to and love to stay engaged with potential readers and fans, so feel free to drop in a hello or a quick message to me anytime on Goodreads or on The Divinity Saga Facebook page. Would love to meet all of you! In my down time, I love making jewelry, practicing martial arts with my son, and being the guinea pig for my aspiring Esthetician daughter!

Smashwords Interview

What's the story behind your latest book?
The supernatural, paranormal, and the things that aren't supposed to exist because we can't see them, have always fascinated me. I get a lot of my ideas from dreams, like many authors, and experiences that I warp with a "I wonder if..." question and then go from there. My first 5 book series is a divine warrior, angel, and demon urban and dark fantasy genre, that one definitely came from a repetitive dream. My new series (the first book will be out in the summer), simply came from watching a few anime's and having goofy, hypothetical question conversations with my 17 year old son. The idea of eye-popping magic and using the natural elements of the earth to do it, fascinates me too, and I don't mean just the Chris Angel and David Blaine type either.
When did you first start writing?
My first exposure to writing actually stemmed from my love of books and reading. We didn't have cable growing up, even when cable first came out and all of my friends were glued to MTV (when it still played music videos), all I had were my books and the radio. From there, I began to write both songs and poetry but it wasn't enough for me. Apparently, I have a lot going on in my head so I needed an even bigger outlet for my words and thoughts and that's when my very first story was birthed...but I honestly can't even remember what it was or what it was about. Ever since then, I've been hooked on books and writing!

A very short, very gory read. The fact that they are also children adds a very, sinister and disturbing factor and imagery. I love horror though, the gorier the better. This definitely delivered that! The twist and ending made it even more of a diabolical, almost tales from the cryptish feel for me. All in all, it was a gory, good read! I look forward to more from this author!
