Automatism Press was founded in 1992 by Mason Jones and Loren Rhoads. They published two nonfiction anthologies: Lend the Eye a Terrible Aspect and Death's Garden: Relationships with Cemeteries. Mason was the editor of Ongaku Otaku, which explored Japanese underground music. Loren edited Morbid Curiosity magazine for ten years. After a hiatus while Loren started her career as a novelist, they have returned to publishing with the As Above, So Below series and Martha Allard's stunning new novel, Black Light.
