I'm a long time writer currently residing in the southern US. A believer, a reader, and a lover of animals and music. I write a little bit of everything, ranging from horror to paranormal-romance and fantasy.
Who are your favorite authors?
Ah, really? This is so tough! I love a lot of authors. Douglas Clegg is by far my number one. He has been such an inspiration to me. Also, Edgar Allan Poe, JRR Tolkien, CS Lewis, Cassandra Clare, Gena Showalter, Charlaine Harris, Anne Rice, Karen Traviss, R.A. Salvatore, Thomas Harris, Rick Riordan...this list could go on and on.
What are you working on next?
The sequel to my debut novel and the second in the Crestfall series, which is titled "Stonefall." I'm also working on several standalone novellas, and one standalone full length novel called "Scavengers."
This new adult series combines romance, mystery, action, and the addictive world of the paranormal in a college setting.
The lives of sisters Sailor and Amelia change for better and worse once they attend Crestfall University. Family secrets are unveiled, relationships tested, and bonds forged that they know will last forever. But the growing darkness that surrounds the college campus and the nature reserve it borders threatens to end all that the sisters and their newfound friends have come to know and love.
Two weeks after the end of "Crestfall," sisters Sailor and Amelia are getting used to their newfound lives - and newly uncovered histories. "Crescent" is a short story set within the world of Crestfall to bridge the gap between the end of book one and the beginning of book two, "Stonefall."

As a lover of both poetry and photography, this books was absolutely perfect for me. Ms. Nelson's way with words is one that you will never forget as you let each painful, emotive line absorb into your very being. Her photography is outstanding, capturing dark, dead trees and giving them life again among her words.
Seriously an amazing read, one you will not regret picking up. I've re-read it several times just to experience the prose over and over again. Highly recommended, and very artistic as well.
