L. Ayanna Brown holds a Masters degree from Teachers College, Columbia University and a Bachelors degree from Wesleyan University. She is the author of Words of My Mouth, Meditations of My Heart and the featured spoken word artist on the "It's Time" audio CD. She is the producer and director of the annual Speak It Collections production, "The Poetry Nook: More than Just Poetry" grassroots theatre with a positive message. L. Ayanna is also the Founder and Executive Director of AFCOM: Ambassadors for Christ Outreach Ministry Inc., a Christian faith based community service organization based in Mount Vernon, NY.
