Earlier reviews of this book's paperback version consistently compared the story shared here with the popular cinematic psycho-thrillers "Fatal Attraction" and "Basic Instinct." Although Luggage By Kroger is a nonfiction, true crime memoir of events that occurred in Houston before either of those movies was made, the comparisons seem right on target. Imagine a true story written in the first-person by the Michael Douglas-characters portrayed in those films, and you'll have a good idea about what's in store with this book. The result is a tale of mysterious unsolved murders, explosive violence, erotic drama, psychological investigation, self-deprecating humor and some trial sequences to rank with any fictional John Grisham legal thriller. The story seems even more amazing because all of it is true. Luggage By Kroger transcends the true crime genre with its memoir format and deserves all the recognition it has achieved.
