I am an English writer living and working in Poland. My work has been published by Every Day Fiction, The London Journal of Fiction, Flash Fiction Magazine, 365 Tomorrows, Visual Verse and The Misty Review. "Champion" is my first book.
Where did you grow up, and how did this influence your writing?
I grew up in Bath, in England, and enjoyed hunting round its many second-hand bookshops for the novels, plays, poems, essays and biographies that inspired me.
When did you first start writing?
I started writing when I was in Infant school, with a story in which my hand puppet terrorised my teacher.
Champion is a novelette about status, ambition and Premiership football. As Leicester City progress towards an improbable triumph a young fan pursues dreams of his own, with friends, girls and multi-million pound theft.
