Smashwords Interview

How do you discover the ebooks you read?
I am a book junkie. I read my first fantasy series when I was only 10 years old, and I would read whatever was on my parents bookshelf. I am still like that. I ask friends what they are reading, or I will look up an oldie but goodie on whatever site I am shopping and check out the "books like this" or "other people also bought" lists. I have found some great authors and books from those suggestive lists.
Do you remember the first story you ever wrote?
Yes! And I can't access it anymore, unfortunately. I am a huge space sci/fi fan, and a fire fighter/EMT. The first story I ever wrote was a starship saga involving rescue services on board starships. It was saved to an old 450mb HDD in a creme colored laptop with a 7" screen running windows 95.

I still have the hard drive from that computer, but it BSOD a long time ago, and no one can get the data off of it. I didn't have the heart to start over. Maybe some day....
